Hi John,

Thanks for the QSOs in MiQP... we did miss the full time efforts that
GU/AIH, MHJ, etc., did in 2004 but we did notice that there were *lots* of other
MN/MWA guys calling in! Thanks to all.

On 40 meters we could not hear anything of other in state guys, or close by
out of state guys. So when we looked for a clear frequency, about the only way
to tell if a frequency was QRL was by out of state guys working somebody.
If there were none, we couldn't really tell if it was a clear freq, or if we
had plopped down right on somebody else's frequency, qrming him, and making it
impossible for either of us to make qsos. I don't think QRO guys were the
problem, it was just that we mobiles couldn't tell what was and wasn't clear.

You ought to come over to MI some year. Heck, 110 miles is nothing. We
drove about 450 miles to our starting point in Otsego county, staying overnight
near Saginaw on the way up. We finished up in Livingston county, still about
200 miles from home.

See you all in the Ohio QSO Party, Saturday August 27!
