We started with the idea to work the contest Multi Multi but radio problems made
us move to Multi Sinlge.  Just wire antennas Low power with bad  Conditions made it very hard to make and rate at all.  On Friday nite the ft 990 power would not put out more than 10 watts. It dead.  The second Radio a 890 and the back up radio with only one power supply.  no problem use the Boat battery,  Got it out no charge and would not let use run the radio with the charger on it.  Got bad reports of AC hum.  Son had to run multi Single.  Still had a great time with the boys hope to do it again next year but Next year I will take the ten tec Corsair it can take alot before it quits working.  40 meters was good and very few Michigan qso just UP.  Heard K8CC and K8XXX early but they could not heard us.  80 meters was were it was three of use copying code and help the operator with fills it was fun.  good thing I took along the 847.  Did not hear many moblies but did listen alot for them and the muls. Had a great time and hope that the bad band conditions does not hurt the logs to be sent in.
