[MiQP-Mail] Questions?

Just a couple SAQs. 

Did anyone thimk to send an e-mail (preferably individualized emails 
with a programme like world merge) reminding each participant from last 
couple years MiQP of this year's event and encouraging participation?  
For example, I know there was at least one other KENT county operator 
who operated from his/her fixed location, yet I've not heard that he/she 
is planning to make it this year. 

Another thing - how about sending e-mail announcements to each editor of 
club newsletters, and webmasters for ARRL affiliated clubs in Michigan, 
asking them to run a blurb in the appropriate issue of their newsletter 
and an announcement and link to miqp.org on their web sites?    If this 
hasn't been done to date, it's a bit late.  However, the folks at the 
Grand Rapids ARA seemed to welcome an announcement about MiQP at their 
club meeting last evening, and a couple people seemed a bit more than 
casually interested in the times, etc.

It's the "little things" which can make or break an event such as this.  
These "little things" can cause a contest to blossom or to wither on the 
vine.
