Have you considered camping?

The Sleeping Bear Dunes NL offers modern and rustic.

Modern facilities are at Platte River Campgrounf (Benzie County).

I'm in Interlochen and have camped there many times. It's got electricity,
fire rings, and nice modern bathroom facilities.
