Fellow MiQPers:

The Michigan QSO Party committee is pleased to announce that the results
of the 2006 Michigan QSO Party are now published on the MiQP web site
http://www.miqp.org. Despite poor band conditions which severely
impacted QSO totals, we had 183 entries this time, which makes 2006 the
third largest MiQP on record.

Congratulations to the major category winners:

MI Single-Op High Power - * N8SS*

MI Single-Op Low Power - * N8TC*

MI Single-Op QRP - * KK8I*

Non-MI Single-Op Eastern - * N4PN*

Non-MI Single-Op Western - * K0RI*

MI Rover Solo-Operator - * W1NN/m*

MI Rover Multi-Operator - * K8MR/m*

MI Multi-Op Single-Transmitter - * W8VS*

MI Multi-Op Multi-Transmitter - * K8MQP*

Most Counties Worked (MI) - * K8DD*

Most Counties Worked (Non-MI) - * N4PN*

Top MI Club - * Adrian Amateur Radio Club*

Top non-MI Club - * Southeast Contest Club*

You can read the writeup for the rest of the gory details. 18 new fixed
station and 13 mobile records were set at the county level.

Plaques and certificates should be out in September.

Only 8-1/2 months until MiQP 2007 (which WON'T be on Easter weekend).

73,

Dave/K8CC
