[MiQP-Mail] Mobiles on APRS

K8K/m will not have APRS.
 
For those who wish to use spotting (which will put you in the multi op  
category), keep in mind the county hunters spotting  network, at:   www.w6rk.com   
(click on County  Spotting).     It gets lots of activity, and includes a  
route mapping feature.  The map, however, does not show county names  or lines, 
so it can be a little hard to read.
 
One interesting thing with the maps is how a busted location can show  up as 
a very out of the way detour. (look at K4BAI's route in the GaQP).
 
IMHO (which may not necessarily be the official MiQP position) is that  
spotting, especially of the mobiles, in a moderate and non-favorite way on the  DX 
cluster is a good thing, in that it alerts a lot of people in real time  that 
MiQP is going on.  If that gets some people to turn on their  transmitters and 
work some people in Michigan, that is good.
