I've been advised that Montcalm County, which is only a few miles from
where in live outside of Rockford, hasn't had a fixed station on the air
in any of the preceding Michigan QSO Parties - for as long as the
current records go back.

The Michigan QSO Party will be Saturday, April 21, 2007. The contest
period runs from 1200 EDST to 2400 EDST (16Z Saturday until 04Z Sunday
UTC). The object for Michigan stations is to contact as many stations
as possible, inside and outside the state. Multipliers for Michigan
operations are Michigan Counties plus States and Canadian Provinces.

It would be very nice to have a contest operation from Montcalm county,
to put it on the map. Is anyone in Montcalm County willing to commit to
part or all of their Saturday afternoon/evening to this effort?
Alternately, is anyone in Montcalm County willing to loan their hamshack
for an invasion of one or more hams for a contest effort? Or, second
alternate, is anyone in Montcalm County willing to loan a garage or
outbuilding for a temporary "field day" type setup for the effort?
With April weather being iffy, I'd be hesitant to set up outside in a
park, though this would be the third alternative if we can't find other
arrangements. There's a nice park just off M-57 near downtown, which
might be suitable.

Please advise.
