I just received a catalog from Office Depot, with a sale on mugs.

One color, with a logo and lettering costs $40 setup charge (per color 
if more than one color), plus $1.26 each for 72, down to $0.84 each for 
 >1000. Additional colors (up to 3) are $0.35 per color per unit if more 
than one color.

Haven't price hats or tee shirts, but the above may be a reason the 
Oklahoma folks are offering mugs.
