As an out of state station, I'm looking forward to the MIQP this
weekend. I'll be on for most of the 12 hours,
looking particularly for those mobiles in rare counties. I'll be happy
to work any and all the MI guys. I'm
anticipating that there will be propagation on 40 and 80M for the full
12 hours between MA and MI, and even
some on 20M in the afternoon.
Have fun, be safe, and work me lots! Good luck to all!
++++++++++++++++
We all will be eagerly awaiting your calls!
If I'm not running a pileup, I can easily QSY for a QSO on the other mode or
maybe other bands as well. It only takes one button to do so, usually less
than 5 seconds. So be ready to be quick!
If all works, I will be able to be on 80-40-20-15, both modes, during the
daytime. I will be checking 80/75 if 40 is not working for close in stuff, but
my experience in past years that 80 is pretty bad until maybe 4 pm local.
But we'll see.
Sometime, probably around sunset, I will switch from the low power Hustler
75 meter resonator to the high power one, to get better bandwidth on 75. The
75 M high power resonator has a stray resonance at 20 meters, so once I do,
20 will be either QRT or sharing Ham Stick time with 80 CW. If I am still
motivated, I might put the 10 meter resonator on at that time, so I could QRB
("Run the Bands") including 10 but excluding 20, if I find a station close
enough.
Work us early and work us often!
