All:

Thanks to the programming efforts of Tim Mitchell, K9TM, the MiQP web
site now has some powerful tools for planning and coordinating
operations for the 2011 MiQP.

Along the left side on the home page under "Contents", you'll see a new
link *"2011 Planned Operations Entry"*. Following this hyperlink will
lead to a new page where you can enter your callsign and the county(s)
you will be operating from. This information is stored by the web site.

When a "planned operation" is entered, the web site automatically
generates an e-mail to the MiQP reflector describing the operation.
This information can be used by entrants wishing to put together
checklists to follow the mobiles or to not miss any of the fixed station
operations. The recent e-mail describing the K8MQP operation from MONR
was generated this way.

Also, looking at the top of this page, immediately under the planned
operations map, you'll find another link named "Planned Operation
Details". Following this link will take you to a new page listing all
of the planned operations.

Please note that the Planned Operations map has to be filled in
manually. A newly entered operation will not appear on the map
immediately, until the webmaster has had time to fill it in by hand.

Once again, our thanks go to Tim Mitchell, K9TM for his hard work in
creating these powerful tools for MiQPers to utilize.

73,

Dave/K8CC
