[MiQP-Mail] N8K, Keweenaw County

I've just registered to operate as N8K in next year's National Parks on 
the Air (NPOTA) event for ARRL between April 14 and April 21, 2016.

AND, for all those who have been missing KEWEenaw County for the past 
years, this will be the first time that a fixed station has graced this 
county during the Michigan QSO party.  (At least there is no record for 
QRP, Low Power, High Power, or Multi Op in the records page of the MiQP 
web site.)

I'll be operating QRP (naturally - is there any "real" operating when 
one is operating more than 5 watts output?  REALLY), during the contest, 
so crank up the volume, dig down into the noise level, and work N8K 
during MIQP next year.  I will "crank it up" to 100 watts or so for 
hours of operation before and after the contest.

Oh, in case you haven't marked your calendar, next year's Michigan QSO 
Party will be held between 1600Z Saturday, April 16, and 0400Z Sunday, 
April 17.   MiQP is always a fun event - hope to see many of you on the 
air then.
