In case you run across a station from South America in your log for
MIQP, this may be the reason.

N/S propagation often is active when other forms of DX isn't happening.

Dear Contesters,

Next weekend, find little (or a lot) of time to participate on CQMM DX
Contest. It's the biggest CW Contest promoted in South America and open
for operators worldwide. Last year we got 1000+ logs submitted. For
sure, this time it will be more.

You are invited to check the changes we’ve made on 2016 Rules. Now on,
Single Operator Single Band will be split by Power. More categories and
more fun for you! As fun is the realm of Contesting, all participants
will get certificate after final results. But no certificate will be
sent by postal mail anymore. On our website, you will find your
certificate in PDF for Download right after final results. We are
working to include all past certificated as well very soon.

More about the contest on www.cqmmdx.com

Feel free to contact me off the maillist If you have any question. Thank
you for you attention!

See you on the bands!
