<DIV>Well, that was ugly!&nbsp; Just when you think conditions couldn't be worse 

than last year they are.&nbsp; Guess that means the conditions in the Ohio QSO 

Party will be the best ever.&nbsp; At least it was a pretty day for a 

drive.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks again to Ian, WA9PQN for driving for me.&nbsp; From his drive way 

back to his driveway was 598 miles and 24 counties.&nbsp; We missed a turn and 

wound up skipping Newaygo but put Osceola on for one QSO instead.</DIV>

<DIV>Tried to move as many multipliers as I could to the other mode but doubt 

it's enough to beat K8MR since we're&nbsp;30 q's short. Worked most of the 

Michigan counties on 80m when I didn't have a phone antenna available.&nbsp; 

Maybe I need to spend $20 and buy a second hamstick for that band and try that 

in the next contest although I can't imagine anyone would hear my signal on 

75.</DIV>

my mind at the last minute.</DIV>
