<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Tahoma">From what I gather, according to my sources at the Oakland Co. ARPSC, W8OAK will be on as a Multi-Multi in the EOC category. They wish to acquire the first EOC category plaque in MiQP history. I hope several other groups will activate their EOC's as well. Remember, part of the reasoning behind the EOC category is to showcase to your local Emergency Manager what communications capabilities you have within the state of Michigan itself, as well as worldwide. While doing so, you could be training operators to be familiar with the facilities they will be using during a real activation for your served Emergency Management agency, and still have some fun in the process. </FONT></P>


<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Tahoma">I'm not certain if I will be part of the W8OAK endeavor or not at this point, but we will know closer to the date. Health issues with the father-in-law may preclude my operating from Isabella this year. If that is the case, I will be assisting the OAK clan with their quest.</FONT></P>
