I've responded in detail to the message below as a private
message. I feel that your "put down" of casual operators, and
similar "not to gentle advice" by other "self proclaimed hotshot
contesters", is much better said privately. You may be
interested to know that a several of the K6JSS/COUNty ops are
first time with MiQP, and deserve to be publicly encouraged, not
publicly belittled by high and mighty "suggestions."<br>

the log. The cabrillo file looks a bit strange on N3FJP, but
can be edited with a robot. GenLog does fine with any of the
forms of K6JSS. N1MM does fine with all forms of K6JSS, on the
input and "sent" part of the exchange. But if your logging
software regurgitates on any K6JSS log submission, send it over

regards to the K6JSS/county operations this weekend, I have the
following suggestion.
<br>
<br>
You should log any of the K6JSS stations as K6JSS/cnty, rather
than K6JSS/8/cnty, for two reasons:
<br>
<br>
1. Your logging software is much more likely to accept the
former rather than the latter.
<br>
2. I can guarantee that the MiQP logchecking software will
accept the former. I cannot make the same guarantee for the
latter, and you shouldn't count on me hand-correcting several
hundred QSOs.
<br>
<br>
The K6JSS grand-poobah, N8XX made a similar point in an earlier
e-mail, but then later in the same e-mail referred to
"K6JSS/8/cnty" (a typo, I suppose) so I wanted to reinforce the
point again before the MIQP.
<br>
<br>
You can also log K6JSS/cnty simply as K6JSS if you wish. The MiQP
logchecking software automatically takes the county field into
account when scoring dupes so your official score will come out
correct, but your logging software may require "/cnty" to properly
portray things during the contest.
<br>
<br>
Good luck to all this weekend.
