I looked over <font size="+1">(part) of the list of "records"
for power classifications for various counties in MiQP, and
there appears a number which have not had a <font size="+1">(reported)
fixed station entry. There are many<font size="+1">,
"probably" >>50%, which do <font size="+1">not have
a QRP category <font size="+1">record</font>. In 2012
we only had 45 of the 83 counties reported with Singl<font
size="+1">e Op, </font>fixed operation. In 201<font
size="+1">1 there were 44<font size="+1"> such
entries. In 201<font size="+1">0<font size="+1">,
only 40. <font size="+1">A few more may be <font
size="+1">represented</font> by multi-op<font
size="+1">, <font size="+1">but very few
uniquely multi<font size="+1">-op. </font></font></font></font>I
haven't gone back to earlier daze, but<font
size="+1"> it would seem,</font> we<font
size="+1">'re making progres<font size="+1">s,
but very, very<font size="+1">, <font
size="+1">excruciatingly slowly.<font
size="+1"> </font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font><br>

<font size="+1">So, if you're in a club which has
represent<font size="+1">ation from <font size="+1">more
than one county, please, pretty please, t<font
size="+1">alk <font size="+1">up the Michigan
QSO party. This isn't one of th<font
size="+1">ose "blood and guts" contests, one
can oper<font size="+1">ate a<font size="+1">t
a fairl<font size="+1">y lei<font
size="+1">surely pace on<font
size="+1"> either <font size="+1">SSB
or CW (or both) and make quite a
few contacts. It would be nice
to get a m<font size="+1">ajority
of counties represented by one
or more fixed stations from
each of t<font size="+1">he 83
counties. T<font size="+1">h<font
size="+1">at might be a
stretch. But, if we
could get<font size="+1">,
say 10 or 15 more
counties represent<font
size="+1">ed by fixe<font
size="+1">d
stations, <font
size="+1">might
that be a goal?<br>

do like I've
been doing...

you're in a
county with
several <font
size="+1">entries,
c</font></font>heck
the records
for counties
around your
county<font
size="+1">,
and make a
mini-dxpedition
to a nearby
county which
has a low o<font
size="+1">r
non-existent
record for
fixed station
operation in
your categor<font
size="+1">y of
c<font
size="+1">hoice.
For QRP that's
very easy.
For other
categories,
there are many
with <font
size="+1">no
record or very
low score for
the record.<br>
