[MiQP-Mail] Whoopee!

I'm back home in Oshkosh at 3:05 AM CDT (Sunday) after a 6:45 AM (Saturday)
start! Drove 490 miles and garnered nearly 500 Q's as I figure from my
hand-written log. Ran into lots of cool rain and fog in the western UP. Deer
and fox crossed the road. Had one crazy on-coming jeep which veered into my
lane (just as someone on SSB told me to drive safely!), which then lurched
back into his own lane on 2 wheels. Guy looked embarrassed but alive (and so
I live to write this note).
Oh my, conditions were good from up there. 80M and 40M CW signals were
bell-perfect and strong. And the little Yaris had enough sheet metal to
perform well!
Only one mishap ... the stinger came out of its 20M resonator, so I had to
use a small, round file (the only thing I could find as a splint) wrapped
around the top of the resonator and the bottom of the whip with a lot of
electrical tape to hold it. That did it.
More, later ... much later :)
Thanks to all for the peak experience!
