[MiQP-Mail] Refresher course on connecting to a DX cluster via telnet

Help, help help, please, help.  I'm a dunderhead.  Last fall, when I was 
in Illinois, I have figured out how to check into a Dx cluster via 
telnet.  But, I forgot details, and now, I need a refresher course on 
how to use telnet to connect to a DX cluster.  However, I seem to have 
lost the details of it.

First, there's another program which someone recommended a few months 
back, and I seem to remember it worked a lot better. 

Second, when I try "o whatever.wat.edu"  (where o is open, 
whatever.wat.edu is the "address" of the dxcluster which I find on a 
search engine) I get "can't find soandso." 

Therefore, either I'm using my windows telnet client incorrectly, or 
many of the addresses in several of the internet lists is incorrect.

Help, this dunderhead, please...
