 Jim,

I am using the top hats that DX Engineering sell for the Hustler mobile whips. For 20 meters I use the
RM-15 meter resonator with the top hat and on 40 meters the RM-20 with the top hat.
Based on our results I think these work better than the regular resonators alone. I think it
is because the efficency is better because of a smaller loading coil on the antenna.

The 40 meter top hat is so big it won't fit in the car and I store it on the short mast when not using it.
What I really need to do is get another long mast an have two antennas to switch between - one for 40 and
the other for 20 meters...

BTW.. we had almost 2K QSO's from W4AN/m in the GQP. Wonder how our signal was up there
compared to the other rovers ?
